5 got7 songs (in honor of nestfest)

in honor of got7's1 concert in bangkok (i am obsessed with the straight up, fangirl delusions posed as a serious article), here are my top five got7 (and member solo) songs:

  1. Python - GOT7: is this a great song or is it just addicting? can i ask this of any kpop song?

  2. Summer Blues - Yugyeom: this is yugyeom's2 first fully english song off trust me. his solo sound, e.g sweet like, tends to lean more chill/indie R&B similar to tinashe, brent faiyaz, or even a little bit of kali uchis. he's also really good live.

  3. La Sol Mi - Yugyeom: yugyeom's solo catalogue is my personal favorite out of all the members and imo, the most appealing out of the members. probably my favorite summer song. visuals are 10/10.

  4. Crash - Jay B3: this is the title track off Roadrunner, Jay B's latest solo album. His core style is more more R&B, soulful music that's closer to the songs he releases under Def. if you're into camping, he also has a chill ASMR camping series.

  5. Tidal Wave - GOT7: imo, the best song on winter heptagon (second to smooth by jackson.)4

  1. tldr on got7 lore, the group used to be under JYP, mismanaged, everyone left as a group (virtually unheard of), everyone has a solo career, won back rights to their name and still does group work for fun. they originally had a concert in BKK planned but covid happened, then they left, and this concert this week was sort of a full circle moment.

  2. yugyeom and youngjae will be the last two youngest korean members leaving for military this fall. hence again why the concert is a big deal this month.

  3. genuinely excited to see him on tour in LA and SF in June!

  4. fun fact: on winter heptagon, everyone contributed and produced a song that mirrors their solo style but composed for the group. both python and tidalwave were made by bambam.
